The dream of the blue turtles

 Description du produit

The Dream of the Blue Turtles is a musical masterpiece by Sting, which showcases his talent as a solo artist after his departure from the Police. Accompanied by a group of exceptional jazz musicians, Sting presents a diverse range of musical styles and themes that he couldn't explore while he was with his former trio. The album features excellent interpretations of love songs that mainly deal with breakups and escapes, possibly referencing the bitter separation of the Police. Sting's interest in history and politics is evident in the album, as he makes paternalistic appeals to reason and moderation in the age of nuclear weapons, takes a stand for exploited miners in Great Britain, and discusses the stupidity and savagery of World War I, as well as the destructive effects of heroin addiction among teenagers.

The Dream of the Blue Turtles is an eclectic and ambitious album, with some tracks featuring elaborate construction and recording techniques, while others are recorded in a more direct manner. The album is sometimes even pretentious, but it is definitely worth having. The album is released by A&M Records (Universal) and features Sting as the artist. It is available in audio CD format and was released on October 30, 1998. It is a must-have for fans of pop, rock, variety, rap, R'n'B, classical, jazz, metal, and electro music.
